Pre-diabetes is a blood sugar greater than 100-120 according to the literature, but not high enough to be classified as type 2 Diabetes. . (MayoClinic.org). Normal blood sugar results are 65-100, some labs will vary.
The symptoms include increase thirst, increase urination, increase hunger, fatigue, blurred vision, numbness of tingling in the feet or hands, frequent infections, unintended weight loss or slow healing sores, or darken skin on certain parts of the body, neck, armpits and groin (Mayo Clinic.org),

Some of the causes are related to weight, stress and diet. Pre-diabetes can be reversed and but you must take control of your life and change your diet because it is the easiest thing to change. Eat more vegetables and reduce your carbohydrate intake, including sweets and sodas and increase your exercise.
Just think of the of the ramifications of being a diabetic and possibly being a dialysis patient three days per week, or being more prone to cardiac issues related that disease process. Hopefully, that should be enough to motivate you to change your behavior.
