Post Election

For the last two to three years, it has felt like we have had nonstop information about the 2024 election. I am sure you all are exhausted from all the information generated by both sides.

Some of you did not exercise civic duty and chose not to vote. Was it so difficult to vote for candidates that represent your interests? Some feel it does not matter, but when laws are created that will affect you, please do not complain. You had your chance. Whatever laws are passed or dissolved will affect you in some way or another.

Remember, legislators work for you. Express your approval or disapproval by calling their office or voting them out. Knowing who represents you in Congress and holding them accountable is in your best interest.

Politics is local. The president is our representative on the international stage. Do yourself a favor and brush up on US civics. Most people do not know there are three branches of government or how laws are generated.

We can not hold our politicians accountable if we are not informed on how the process is supposed to work. Vote when you have the opportunity, that is how the system changes.

Thank-you, This is a pubic service announcement.
